I’m thrilled to announce that the interview phase of Forge of Legends is officially complete! Over the past few weeks, I’ve had the privilege of speaking with so many passionate and creative individuals from all corners of the D&D community. The diversity in backgrounds—spanning careers, ages, orientations, and heritages—has been truly inspiring. It’s a far cry from the days when D&D was something you kept to yourself, and seeing how openly and enthusiastically the world now embraces it is amazing. I can’t wait to roll some dice with you!
What’s Next?
Now that interviews are complete, we’re moving into the next exciting phase! This weekend, I’ll be reviewing all the interviews and narrowing down the field to 24 candidates. By Sunday afternoon, notifications will be sent, so keep an eye on your inbox.
Next, we’ll dive into a series of D&D play sessions with these 24 candidates. I’ll be looking for that elusive, magical party chemistry that makes a group truly legendary. After the first round of play, I’ll narrow it down further to 12 candidates for another round of sessions. Finally, we’ll find our core cast of six who will bring Forge of Legends to life.
But this isn’t just my decision—after each round of play sessions, I’ll reach out to every participant to hear their thoughts on how the sessions went. This collaborative process will guide us all the way through early November.

The creativity, enthusiasm, and joy I’ve witnessed throughout this process has been nothing short of humbling. Meeting all of you has truly been the highlight of this experience, and I’m eager to keep that momentum going. There are so many incredible people in this community, and I hope we can stay connected. Who knows—there may be future opportunities for us to roll dice together!
